In the project, Ongeas developed pattern recognition algorithms for interpreting handwriting. The handwriting was done with a stylus on a touch sensitive screen. The analysis was done in real time and ran embedded on portable devices. Writing scripts included were Western writing (the alphabet), Japanese writing, Chinese writing, Korean writing and Arabic writing.
